Emee Roxana

Our sweet little, and I do mean LITTLE, angel was born on Friday the 18th and it was a wonderful delivery! She is the sweetest little girl and we all love her to pieces. She weighed a mere 7 lbs. 2 oz and was 18" long. Compared to her older sister, that is one small baby.
I was scheduled to be induced on Friday but I went into labor at 3 AM and by the time the hospital called to tell me to come in I said, "good because I am in labor and was on my way!"
We got there at 9 and the beloved epidural was in at around 10 and our little angel came at 12:10 after just five pushes. I pushed for FOUR straight hours to get Colee here so I was feeling pretty good about just five pushed to get Emee here :)
It is true that we took six days to name her and we ended up with the original name we had but in my defense I just did not feel good and wanted to take my time to make sure it was the right name.

Summer '09 picture re-cap

We have had a lot of fun this summer and it all started with the picture above, the last day of school party at the neighbors that Colee decided to strip down at and get wet with all the big kids. She was only suppose to go and have ice cream with Nana but my little princess had ideas of her own. When I pulled up to get her I seriously died laughing. It was so hilarious and so cute. We don't have a pic but mom and I took her to the car, stripped off that wet saggy diaper and were about to get her dressed when she took off running back to the sprinkler...butt naked! Mom and I were laughing so hard we could not even get to her. Finally we went and got her and had the best story to share with daddy.
Colee has grown so much in the last few months!! She has had many firsts this summer and is doing so well.
Some of her firsts have been:
-first carnival
-first pony ride at the big red barn of course
-first plane ride
-first foreign holiday
-first time at the beach
-first time going potty on the big potty (which may I just say how easy she was to potty train!!)
-first bike that she absolutely LOVES
-first big girl bed that she loves to sleep in all alone now

Those are just a few that I want to remember. She is so big and I love it because she is so much fun and she makes for the best side kick but at the same time I am so sad....she is my baby and she is getting so old!!

We had a great summer and now as we look forward to fall, my FAVORITE season, I hope that we can continue to have so many good times together. We will have our new addition in the next few weeks and hopefully I do well afterward so I can be there with Colee for all the fun times like pumpkin carving, halloween, decorating sugar cookies, playing outside in the leaves....here's to hoping there won't be any baby blues this time!!

camping and cabins

I don't have many pictures of our two outings this summer but they were sure a lot of fun! First, the Brems went up to AF canyon for the 24th holiday and found us a perfect clearing to pitch tents, build a fire and play horse shoes and baseball. It was so much fun. Mike and I didn't stay the night, we opted for our nice beds but we went up during the evening two nights in a row. We made tinfoil dinners one night and dutch oven the other...delicious!! We had lots of people come up...the Brems whole clan, the Kelley's, Trav and Steph, Grandma and Grandpa and many others. It was so fun and hopefully we can make a yearly stop. We need to get on the list though to get camping spots for next year that have shade.
Our second out doorsish experience this summer was going with my immediate family to Swisher's family cabin in Idaho. It was so great!! I did complain about the drive but in my defense I was told it was a four hour drive but it was SEVEN and I was eight months pregnant at the time!! Once there it was fabulous. We were all there except Bubby and Jacob who are both in school right now...we missed you!!
It was so much fun to all be together and just chill. If it were closer, the place where his cabin is would be ideal for our family to get a family cabin together. The valley it was in was BEAUTIFUL and it was just perfect. The pool that was just right behind us was the water from the hot springs and let me just say how amazing it felt to my pregnant body. Lea and I could have stayed for hours if it weren't for worrying husbands that thought we were getting the babies in our bellies too hot.
