Visit to the big house

see that scowl...that is how she looked for three straight days!  She was MAD

Thanks for the lift guys!  They were really cute with her.

So last Sunday we were at my parents house visiting and Emee had been breathing very shallow and rapidly since she had woke up from her nap.  She had been sick and we went to the Dr. on Friday and had ruled out pneumonia with x-rays and we were given a few medications so I truly was not too worried about it.  After a few hours of her continued labored breathing I started to get a little concerned so I called the on call Dr. and was told to take her to the ER...hello, for a cold I thought that was a little extreme.
I have an aunt who is an ER nurse who just happens to have been through many situations with her own kids and I knew would keep it real for me so I called her to see if I could bring Emee up to get her opinion before I was the mom that took her child to the ER for a cold.  She was actually headed out and said she would stop by mom and dad's.  Turns out that we really did need to take her in.
After several back to back breathing treatments and oral steroids at AF hospital ER we were sent to Primary Childrens, or the Big House as we call it in our family, because she was not responding and all Dr.'s involved (primary care, ER and Primaries ER docs) felt that she needed to be up at the big house as a precaution where they are equipped to handle these things.
We really do not have many answers other than she was sick and had several asthma attacks and needed some oxygen and treatments for a few days.
She was so angry this time.  I am not sure if it was because she was in the hospital again or if it was the aggresive steroid treatments but she was MAD!!  Today is Friday and she is just now starting to be her sweet self again.  She has just been yelling at everyone and everything since Sunday.  She was a champ though and we are so happy and blessed to have great family who stepped in and helped out tremendously and for amazing medical care so close to us!
