Baby girls Party!
We had such a fun birthday celebration with Colee! We wanted to wait for some family that were coming for the Christmas holiday so we had a little gathering on Sunday but then aunt Collette wasn't able to make the Sunday flight but Isaac, Lea and new baby Colt were able to make it. Mike's mom and Jim were able to come and the Brems so Colee was set with all the attention she could possibly get!
She is very dainty with her cakes each year and really only wants to eat the frosting. We had a chocolate cake of course, she takes after her mom in that regard. She was hilarious with the opening of presents. I thought she would really be into it this year but, not so much. London was able to help her open them though. She loves what was inside but the wrapping paper was in the way :)
She rec'd some really fun and cute things. Nana Mom and Papa gave her a super cute dress coat and hat that I can't wait to have her wear to church. Aunt Sheraka gave her some super cute pink cowgirl boots, Aunt Lea and Uncle Isaac gave music books that I just know they LOVE to listen to each morning when she gets up at 6:30 AM!!!! Grandma Darlene gave her the super cute pink tutu she is wearing in the photos and mom and dad gave her a power wheels jeep, just to name a few...she truly was one spoiled girl.
I thought she would LOVE the jeep since she has me rewind the power wheels commercials but no such luck. Well, she enjoyed sitting in it pretending to drive but as soon as she found out it really moved she was done. It took a few days to warm up to and now we can't keep her off of it.
Thank you to all who helped make it a great celebration with us!! We feel very grateful to live near so many of our loved ones that Colee gets to be around and grow close to.
Happy Birthday baby girl, we love you!!

Happy Birthday Baby Girl!!
How is it possible that our baby is 2 already?!? I can not even believe how much she has grown up this last year and even the last few months!
This little girl is so awesome! She is my constant little companion/sidekick and I just love it. Her new favorite thing to do is to go shopping! My daughter...how did this happen? I absolutely dread shopping centers of all shapes and sizes and that is where she wants to be all the time, at least the last few days. Yesterday we went to the grocery store and of course she wanted to ride in the cart that she can sit in and "drive" that feels like I am pushing a bus around the store. When we would pass EVERYBODY, she would wave and say, "Hi, I am driving" she just loves it. When it comes time to leave it's quit the dramatic experience, she does not want to go home and she makes it very clear to everyone within listening distance.
In the last few months her vocabulary has increased by leaps and bounds. She now communicates so well and understands incredibly well also. If I do not understand what she is trying to tell me I just have her show me and then I realize she was saying it almost perfectly :) (I am the mom, I can think these things!)
Age 2 Colee's favorite things:
cartoon: Still The Wiggles but she now wants to watch The Santa Clause and I am hoping she will love going to see Santa at the mall...we will see how that goes.
food: she loves eggs for breakfast, "weiners" or noodles for lunch (I do try to get a veggie in most days) and then whatever we are having for dinner. She really likes chicken and potatoes.
activities: every single day I get her ready and within minutes she is undressed down to her diaper, and it's winter!! She will then proceed to put her socks on and off several times, her pants on and off several times and NEVER her shirt...once it is off it usually stays off unless I find something to bribe her with. She can do this all day and be completely content.
Colee loves when London comes over and she follows her around all day, much to London's dismay most days.
Colee also loves to draw and color. She can use her left and right hand equally well. I am hoping for a lefty!
friends: Sadly there are not many children for the Boo to play with but she has many favorite adults in her life. She absolutely loves living with Nana and Papa and uncle Bone. They spoil her rotten and she basically controls the roost. She loves going to see Papa Hansen and Muggsie at the farm. She asks Papa Hansen to play with her when we are there and will not let him leave her side. he is in his 80's and wants him to be right there on the floor with her riding the trucks. He is really cute with her.
Since we have been finishing the basement we have had Gigi over quit a bit and at first Colee was not so friendly and scared of him but now she LOVES Gigi!! And Cheer has won her over as well, of course, she is super fun and now when Cheer comes over Colee will hurry and get dressed and put her shoes on because she thinks it is her time to go with Aunt Cheer.
I can not leave out Aunt Sheraka. She is the best Aunt and Colee goes crazy when she comes. Again, thinking that she gets to leave the house, she gets her shoes on and says, 'I ready aunt Sher."
Words/phrases: She waves her hand and says, 'mere, mere, I need you" when she wants you to come and help her. She still calls me Heather rather than mom, I am now working on that. "watch" is her constant word because she needs an audience when she is doing just about everything!!
Happy Birthday baby girl...we love you so much!!

Gingerbread Houses with Aunt Cheer
This year we were able to go to Aunt Cheer's annual gingerbread night!! It was so much fun and I remember making gingerbread with Cheer when I was a little girl...I seriously remember going to her apartment and it was just me and her...what a fun aunt!! Colee talked about going to see Aunt Cheer and Uncle Gigi ALL DAY long!! I thought she would have forgotten about it when she fell asleep for her nap but it was the first thing she mentioned when she woke up, too cute.
Colee was more interested in eating the candy that we would put on her house rather than leaving it there to make it look cute. Even this morning she was asking for the gingerbread treat!
Thank you Cheer for such a fun night!!

He's FINALLY here!!
Well he is FINALLY here...Colt R. Kelley came into the world on Friday December 5th weighing in at a nice and sturdy 8 lbs. 15 oz. and 20 1/2" long!!
He is so darling and I can not wait to get to hold him.
Lea is doing really well. I am sure she is much more sore than she is claiming to be after a C-section but the word is she is great.
My mom is up there now and says that Colt looks exactly like Isaac only with Lea's ear lobes, other than that she says it is like going back in time and having Isaac in her arms.
Welcome to the family little man..we love you so much!!
