To get us started we had a Beautiful baby girl born December 19, 2006 weighing in at 8 lbs. 10 oz. and 21" long. We named her after my mom and grandma, Colee LaVon Pinegar. You pronounce her name Colleen without the "n". She is the sweetest little girl with tons of black hair. She looks a lot like her daddy and has his kicked back personality. She does get all of her hair from her mother however!!
She is truly our little angel and just loves to be talked to. If I could she would love me to tell her story after story and she acts as if she understands every word I am saying. My mom says she has an old soul. From the minute she came out she hasn't cried very much at all. The only time is when she is very tired and then she just whimpers for a minute and nods off to dream land.
We have loved every minute of being new parents. I tell her almost every day to be patient with me since this is all so new. Now that she is just over three months old we are trying to get settled into a routine and this month we are going to work on getting her to sleep through the night or at least a good eight hours....I will let you know how that goes next month. Mike is much stronger than I am at letting her cry it out if needed. I would rather just go and get her but he insists on helping her become a self soother.
Mike is such an amazing daddy to her. He just beams with pride whenever someone tells us how much she looks like him. I am hoping to get some photos posted as soon as I can figure that part out.
This last weekend was our two year anniversary and my mom watched Colee for the night and London called me to see if she could come and play with her baby sister (she has let us know from day one she is not the cousin, she is the sister...EsDee and Ball are the cousins) and I told her I actually needed her help to babysit and she just loved that. Having a baby sister has really brought out the soft side of London. She sings and dances and tells her stories and lets her pull her hair...she loves her baby sister.
I am so lucky to have such an amazing husband and now a beautiful daughter. We love our life in St. George and have been so blessed since moving here when we were first married. Mike is working with a wonderful broker that really appreciates him and has helped Mike to really start to get his business going. If things go the way we are hoping we will be here for longer than the few years we first planned. Especially now that we are starting to adjust to the warm weather.
